About the Studio

The purpose of The Body Initiative is to create a space that gives ALL bodies a positive movement experience.

Our goal is for you to have the freedom to come as you are and feel accepted at any "fitness" level.

After teaching for over 10 years, Becky Phares decided to open a studio in a shared space.

This venture became an overwhelming success, and

a year later Becky and her husband Beau bought the old Fast Signs builiding at 803 Robley in 2019. The space was old, had amazing charm and two weird garage doors that they turned into artwork.

The Body Initiative space never ceases to inspire creativity and has the capacity to keep growing businesses and lives with in its walls.

About Becky Phares, NCPT

Becky Phares is the owner of The Body Initiative Pilates Studio and a Nationally Certified Pilates teacher. While she has many credentials and is extensively educated, those qualifications alone do not fully describe the teacher that she is. She has realized pilates is less about perfecting exercises and more about moving your body. Becky's hope would be for her students describe her as a friendly person that likes to make jokes while doing some exercises.

In furthering her education by continuing to take courses,

Becky has realized Pilates is less about perfecting movement and just moving your body.
